HomeMOBILE Cap FAQ

What is a HomeMOBILE Cap?

A HomeMOBILE Cap combines your fixed-line phone and mobile services allowing you to share the included monthly credit between your home phone and mobile.

You can use your monthly credit towards your:

  • TransTALK home phone service for local and national calls as well as calls to Australian mobiles
  • TransMOBILE service for voice calls, video calls, text messages to Australian fixed-line phones and mobiles, as well as voicemail, MMS and GPRS services that originate in Australia

Where is the HomeMOBILE Cap available?

TransACT’s HomeMOBILE Cap is available in the ACT, on Canberra’s Cable and ADSL2+ networks. HomeMOBILE Cap is not available to customers on the LCS or Fibre-to-the-home network.

Who is eligible for the HomeMOBILE Cap?

HomeMOBILE Cap is available to new and existing phone and broadband customers upgrading to include a mobile in their package. Existing TalkWEB customers upgrading to the HomeMOBILE Cap must retain their broadband connection as "add on data" under a new contract. HomeMOBILE Cap is not available to existing TransMOBILE customers under contract.

Can the HomeMOBILE Cap be included in a TransACT and ActewAGL bundle?

Yes, TransACT’s fixed-line phone, mobile and broadband services are all eligible services to include in a TransACT and ActewAGL bundle.
