Call Forwarding

Call Forwarding lets you forward your calls to anywhere in Australia, including mobiles, pagers and answering services including TransACT's TalkMAIL. Applicable call charges apply. There are three types of Call Forwarding.

Call Forwarding immediate

All of your calls are forwarded immediately without ringing. Remember, when you have Call Forwarding immediate activated it will override Call Forwarding no answer and Call Forwarding busy.

Turning it on
Press *21, then the number (including the area code) you wish to forward all calls to and then #. You will hear the acknowledgement tone.
Turning it off
Press #21#. You will then hear the dial tone.

Call Forwarding no answer

This lets you forward your calls if your phone is not answered within 20 seconds.

Turning it on
Press *61, then the number (including the area code) you wish to forward all calls to and then #. You will hear the acknowledgement tone.
Turning it off
Press #61#. You will hear the acknowledgement tone.

Call Forwarding busy

This option will redirect your calls when your phone is busy.

Turning it on
Press *24, then the number (including the area code) you wish to forward all calls to and then #. You will hear the acknowledgement tone.
Turning it off
Press #24#. You will hear the acknowledgement tone.

Important call forwarding information:

  • forwarded calls will incur applicable TransACT rates to your regular monthly account
  • calls cannot be forwarded to certain numbers, such as emergency services
  • multiple call forwarding or combining a number of call forwarding products may result in difficulties
  • calls cannot be forwarded to mobile, interstate or international numbers if these numbers are restricted from normal access (for example, due to call barring).
